This is their internal affairs. The USA supports protests in Belarus, so Russia could do the same thing here, but interfering in internal affairs of other countries uninvited is not how Russia acts.
Deplatforming is what attracts my attention in this situation. (In Russian it's called censoring by the way.) There is nothing new in it, it's already being used against Russian media. But this case reminds once again there is a strong need for popular platforms (microblogging, social networks, video hostings, etc) without dependence from the USA.
Trump seems to be alive. To much pushback on him still for him not to be. No idea what he's doing. If you want to believe that'll he'll follow through with a insurgency, then he's preparing a military coup. If you want the more realistic approach, him and Mr.Pillow guy and start a news/social media company and make bank of republicans.
Biden will be a legitimate president, but that phrase holds no water anymore. Dems spent the last 4 years denying Trump as a president, and even if they accepted it, they spent every breath saying how awful he is and how he needs to be impeached. If Biden does get fully into power, the next four years will be the same, but reversed parties. Republicans might try something a bit more ballsy them the left did, but I think to many are to comfy for societal comforts to actually do what would need to be done to make a proper change. The left would have make some major changes that drastically affect the right before I think they'd be ready to lose the lifestyle over it.
Depends on who I'm around. Family is hard Trump supporters, ready with guns loaded for Antifa to come knocking. Friends are split, some are BLM/Antifa supports that voted for Biden, some third party, and some are Trumpers. Work is mostly Biden with close coworkers, but a lot of rights too as I'm in a rural area. When you say "people around you", you're asking for a lot. The American people right now are educated by headlines and tiktoks, with no actual critical thinking themselves. You could ask someone something and then the next person beside them will have a completely different view, and both will have "facts and evidence" to back it up. Give them evidence against theirs's and they just shut down and say something like "well that's just how you feel". America is split, and I don't think there's much hope in the way of converting people. It took Cali shutting business's down in an extremely hypocritical way for a over a year for just a few business owners to see the flaws.
i think its greatest time america is right now, all those people which storm the capitol are true patriots and heros. i could never imagine americans being so freedome loving.
